  1. Work out your turf area in square metres (length × width). A quick estimate: 1 pace ≈ 1 metre — walk the length and width of the lawn and multiply. Use the coverage rates above to calculate how many kilograms you need.
  2. Pour PETFILL across the turf in sections and spread evenly using a stiff-bristled broom or the back of a rake, working from one end to the other.
  3. Work the granules into the fibres with a stiff-bristled hand broom or power broom, sweeping in multiple directions until they settle into the base.

Already have turf that smells? PETFILL won’t clear an existing odour. Treat it thoroughly with SYNTURF first, then lay PETFILL in to keep it protected going forward.

Wear a dust mask and gloves while applying, as a precaution against loose mineral dust. It’s not a hazard warning.

What's in it
  • Clinoptilolite - a naturally occurring volcanic mineral (a zeolite) that traps ammonia in its porous structure
  • Nothing else - pH neutral, with nothing else added
What it does
  • Goes in as the new turf is installed, so odour is stopped before it can start (preventative, not a cure for turf that already smells- use smellBgone SYNTURF in this instance)
  • Absorbs the urine and locks away the ammonia that causes the smell
  • Holds moisture and releases it back out as cooling vapour, taking an average of 15°C off the surface, great through an Australian summer (verified by Acousto-scan, an accredited sports-surface lab)
  • 1 application generally lasts for years, with no reapplying
